Mereka memang Luarbiasa,

Hari ini, aku menghadiri Grand Final Pekan Esai Nasional 2013 yang diadakan oleh Green Science Society Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Semarang. Acara ini diselenggarakan dalam rangka kegiatan rutin setiap tahunnya. Di tahun 2013 ini merupakan kali kedua untuk GS2 menyelenggarakan pekan esai ini. Untuk tahun pertama, sang juara berasal dari kampus pribumi, yakni Universitas Negeri Semarang. Kegiatan yang berlangsung di Gedung Serba Guna (GSG) FIP ini dihadiri oleh 10 finalis yang telah dinyatakan lolos tahap seleksi.

Berawal dari Mentoring

Untuk sebagian besar orang, ada yang beranggapan bahwa ikut mentoring itu membosankan, tapi itu tidak berlaku untuk diri saya. Cerita ini berawal ketika saya masih duduk di kelas X SMA. Waktu itu, sekolah saya diundang oleh sebuah organisasi yang bergerak di bidang keislaman di daerah saya. Nama organisasi tersebut adalah Qur’ani Club.

Gagal? ya Coba Lagi !!!

Awalnya, aku merasa nyesek sekali ketika melihat pengumuman PENA 2013 yang menyebutkan bahwa aku tidak lolos masuk ke 10 besar. tapi, aku kembali berfikir, yang menurutku baik belum tentu menurut orang lain baik juga.

oke, aku akan berusaha legowo dalam menerima kenyataan ini. memang, ini merupakan kali pertamaku untuk mengikuti lomba essai dengan skala nasional.

Ikutan Terobosan, asyikk!

Di hari yang sama kala itu, Minggu 10 November 2013. aku mengikuti acara yang dibuat oleh rohis Jurusan Bahasa Inggris. Acara yang dinamakan TEROBOSAN ini merupakan acara yang luarbiasa. mendatangkan 4 pemateri dari pagi hingga sore hari.

Tempat yang digunankan acara ini di gedung B2 107 FBS. Alhamdulillah, pesertanya pun terbilang cukup banyak.

Minggu, 10 November lalu aku mengikuti sebuah acara Training Motivasi yang diadakan oleh Rohis Lire Kaiwa jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Asing (BSA). acara ini bertempat di gedung budar dekanat lantai 2. awalnya aku sempat ragu untuk mengikuti acara ini, karena aku juga sudah mendaftar sebuah acara yang bernama ACTNIUS yang diselenggarakan oleh SSC FMIPA.

Lebih Baik Mencoba :)

alhamdulillah, I have sent the essai of Mentoring in Competition which is held by UMAI UNNES. I do hope that my essai can be accepted by them, and then when the announcement come, I can get the best result of it. aamiin.

I put trust in Allah SWT, I am sure, He will give me the best. aamiin :)

Memang butuh Keyakinan.

tepat tanggal 2 November silam, aku mencoba mengikuti suatu ajang perloambaan essai tingkat nasional di Fakultas Ilmu pendidikan (FIP) Universitas Negeri Semarang. acara yang dinamakan Pekan Essai Nasional (Pena 2013) ini mengusung tema " Indonesia, negara agraris miskin pangan."

cahaya itu

Kutermangu

Diam membisu

Terpaku

Dalam dunia semu

Yang penuh dengan rayuan mendayu

Oh, dimanakah aku berada ?

Kemanakah aku harus melangkah ?

Kapankah aku merasa lega ?

Siapakah yang akan menyuruhku membuka mata ?

Mengapa, mengapa hidupku semakin menjadi tak bermakna

Gelap

Kelam

Suram

Hanya bayang-bayang ketidakpastian yang selalu terbayang

Tiba-tiba

Ada seberkas cahaya yang menyilaukan mata

Oh, cahaya apakah itu?

Kutelusuri dimana cahaya itu berasal?

Kuberjalan perlahan

Kuberlari, kukejar

Dan kuteriak

Please, don’t leave me alone !

Kemanakah cahaya itu pergi ?

Cahaya yang selalu ada mengisi kehampaan dan kekosongan hatiku yang telah dibutakan oleh dunia semu

Cahaya itu adalah hidayah-Mu

akhirnya, kugapai mimpiku.

            Setiap orang pasti mempunyai sebuah mimpi. Mulai dari mimpi dalam lingkup kecil hingga yang tidak terhingga sekalipun. Bahkan,  ada sebagian orang yang mempercayai bahwa mimpi itu sendiri memberikan ruh kepada setiap jiwa untuk terus berjuang menggapainya, meski ditempa berbagai persoalan yang rumit membelit. Biasanya, faktor yang sering menjadi permasalahan sebagian besar masyarakat adalah karena keterbatasan ekonomi.

Budaya itu apa sih ?

            The sun at that time was very brightly, pierce to the windows in my bedroom. The whistling sound of  birds in the morning, added the beautifulness in this village.

“Oh, actually it was morning.” I muttered.

Then, I prepared everything which I needed for teaching in my workplace, exactly at SMPN 5 Proklamasi.

            I used my beloved bike to that place. I should accross the wilderness. In this school, I have been doing KKN as the duty of my study. I was never be complained with my struggling in this village. I did effort to fight maximum. I want to dedicate all of knowledge and science I got since I was in the college to them, the golden generation of Indonesia.

            It took more than an hours to get there. Finally, I arrived at that school.  As usual, I could see the happiness of my students who were playing in front of class. It made me smile. I didn’t know why, I always feel comfort if I saw them like that. Sometimes, I remembered when I was child. I parked my bike in the usual place. Then, I greet them cheerfully.

“good morning my students.”  I said.

“good morning, sir.” Answered them.

I invited them into the class to start study today. In here, I had class on VII grade. Before I was going to start the study, I tried to make a game. And the game was ; everyone should be able to mention one of the cultures or traditions which there is in Indonesia and so famous. I gave them the questions. From twenty five students, just twenty students who able to answer the questions correctly based on my thinking. Four students said that they didn’t know about it, and one student braved to answer my questions like this.

“As I know, according the reality nowdays, I bet that the culture of  our country which still there till now and so famous are ; like to come lately, less respect of the times, and well-known about “ngaret”.

I was extremely shocked. I was never think before that He would say like that.

“whereas, He was on VII grade, but his thinking was so brilliant. He could speak about the reality nowdays.” I said inside my heart.

            Because I was impressed with that student’s answer, I thought and take an iniciative to give the knowledge more about culture detaily. At first, I tried to explain them how rich our country is.

“We had various cultures and traditions each regions. Those made Indonesia was very unique each areas. But, some of us didn’t awware about the threaten that attacked our cultures and traditions. Sometimes, We were spoiled by the modernization era. Most of us easy to accepted the new things which We didn’t know before. We should be selective at first with everythings were new for us. Because, they weren’t  always give positive effects. In addition, our obligation as a student and a civilization of Indonesia should be awware about it. Don’t till We were blind, forget, and even didn’t know about our own cultures and traditions. Really, it was ironic if We were just awware when there was another nation who claimed and stole our own cultures and traditions.” I told them greatly.

            The situation in the class was so peacefull. I aproud to my students here. They were very enthutiacally about the topic I explained. Although they stayed in the village, but their spirit to study  and their knowledge were greater than the students who stayed in the city. Three hours left, I closed the class today.

            When I put my books on the table. I was remembered by the answer of that student. He made me so proud of him. Really, He has succed make me able to open my mind. Actually, he was right. The definition of the culture was not only focus to one section. For example, just focus to arts and traditions. But, it was also include of another sections. And it made me  reminded about the materials of Cultural studies. Now, I awware. How many definitions about what culture is? And how important to know more about it.

Kesungguhan itu memang penting.

in this afternoon, I sit on the chair near the central library. there, I think about everything. I try to think about essay maximally. I have been talking to the committee of the competition that I will join it. so, I should be responsible of it. I know it isn't easy, but why not if I try it?
remember this " where there's a will, there's a way". I make sure my self to be consistent with my choice.
okay, keep spirit !!!

ilmu hari ini

selamat siang guys :)
alhamdulillah, hari ini saya bisa mengahdiri acara Training Blog Tutorial yang diadakan oleh Rohis Obsesi Jurusan Bahasa Inggris. acara ini bertempat di gedung B2 FBS lantai 3. peserta cukup antusias dalam mengikuti acara ini. ilmu, wawasan, pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan wawasan baru saya dapatkan hari ini.

selain itu, kami juga mendapatkan snack dan sertifikat yang akan diberikan hari Senin nanti.

sungguh, sering-seringlah mengikuti acara seperti ini karena manfaatnya luarbiasa :D
